Standard Design Bb Trumpets
My Standard Design Trumpets are not your Standard build. Most horns in this class come with a 0.459-inch 11.66mm bell and standard Waterkey. We took this stander design and put it on steroids! The B10 and B20 have been upgraded with large 5.24-inch bells, and we replaced the standard Waterkey with an Amado Waterkey that you only see on upper tear horns. Plus all three have Brass imported from Germany and Valves: Monel Piston!
You get a good quality horn that can easily be used in Collage or High School and it will be equal with any of the other horns around. With my pricing, you can use this horn as a starter horn as well and you would have no reason to upgrade when your student goes to high school or college.
We offer the following plating. Each has its own look and sound qualities.
The B10 and B20 horns have: Gold lacquer, Nickel plated, Matt lacquer, Silver plated, Gold plated 18 K, Brush Gold
The B20 Just Gold lacquer, Nickel plated, Silver plated
BC10 Crow Custom Brass Trumpet our Standard Design. This horn can hold it’s own in any High School or College Band. With the large 5.24-inch bell the sound is loud and proud! The Amado Waterkey is just the perfect touch that sets this horn apart from the rest of the pack.
BC20 Crow Custom Brass Trumpet our Standard Design. Like the BC10 this horn can hold it’s own in any High School or College Band. The Yellow Brass Reverse lead pipe really takes this hour to the next level. The main purported advantage is that the reverse lead pipe eliminates any air push back at the intersection of the lead pipe and the tuning slide. This may help the player with control over tone and intonation. The longer length of the reverse lead pipe also allows for a more gradual taper, which may also help with tone and intonation. If you add the large 5.24-inch bell this gives you a totally different horn than the BC10. Again the Amado Waterkey is just the perfect touch that sets this horn apart from the rest of the pack in this class.
The BC30 Crow Custom Brass Trumpet is a special horn. It is the only horn that keeps the Standard 0.459-inch 11.66mm size bell BUT it is a beautiful Rose brass bell. This warms up the sound without making the bell larger. We also use the same Rose brass for the lead pipe. The plating is only used on the Valves and the Other slides as you do not want to cover up that Beautiful Rose Brass. This horn can also hold it’s own, on any College or High School campus
Streamline Design Bb Trumpets
My Streamline Trumpets are top of the line horns. They will rival horns that are $3000 – $5000. They are still medium bore trumpets, but you will be surprised at the full, rich sound and the ability of the horns to slot. The Valves are to die for. They are some of the best quality Monel Piston Valves I have seen. With the upgraded Valves and the Brass imported from Germany, this is not your typical Chinese horn! You truly will be chocked when you play them.
The MC4 Streamline Body Style is a professional grade horn. I am surprised how light this horn is. It also lets you slide around the notes and 1/2 valves really well. It takes less effort and air to play than the MC5A. This is a perfect Jazz horn. With the large Shepherd’s crook 5.24-inch bell it makes a very warm LARGE sound. The first two or three notes you will stop and look at the horn and ask, “did this really sound like that”? Good in all ranges and it also slots better than most. I found the low notes are “like a Boss” and the high notes are solid and effortless. The photo here shows the MC4 in Brushed Gold. I am sure this plating really darkens up the horn and you do not ever need to mess with fingerprints again! I just found this horn hard to put down. Not as dark as a Cornet but pretty darn close! I think this has suppressed the Crow MC5A and it did suppress my Adams A4 Shepherd’s Crook Trumpet. You will soon see my Adams A4 up for sale.
The MC5A is our flagship horn. This is the first horn that was produced. The horn lasted band rehearsal before two members wanted it. This is why the model number has an “A” on the end. The other reason is it stands for Attitude because this horn has a lot of Attitude! It sports a Double Shepherd’s crook design with a reverse lead pipe! All of that and stick a 5.24-inch 133mm bell at the end and BOOM! You got a lead trumpet. If you have control, you can still blend in with a section but as a Trumpet player what is the fun in that? Because this is a medium bore horn you will not fatigued as you do on a large bore horn and you will be surprised how it slots and your extended range. Booming lows and screaming highs. With Double Shepherd’s crook design also gives you a dark rich sound but it does require more air than a normal medium bore horn. This horn is dark but not as dark as the Crow MC4. The MC5A will full up a room.
The “MC6 Cole Trumpet” by Crow Custom Brass is the heavy version of our flagship horn the MC5A. Named after the Trumpet Prodigy ~ Niccole Meza Ramos – “Cole Trumpet”. We took this monster and put on heavy horizontal bracing on the oversize bell and then Install beautiful heavy vertical bracing in the Shepherd’s crook of both the Bell and the reverse Leadpipe. This does make the MC6 a little darker than the MC5A It is a very FUN horn to play. To me, it feels like it takes more to play this horn but that might just be the extra weight. The darkness of each horn is affected by the plating you choose.
Meet the BOSS! The MC6A is the perfect balance of weight and dark deep POWER! The weight is slightly more than our flagship horn the MC5A but the difference is the bracing. The extra bracing adds the extra weight and it helps with the sound and power the horn can produce. We put medium horizontal bracing on the oversize bell and then Install beautiful medium vertical bracing in the Shepherd’s crook Bell and then finished it off with the Crow bracing on the reverse Leadpipe. This does make the MC6A a little darker than the MC5A and this horn can SING! It is a very FUN horn to play. It has a deep dark sound but can still command the high end! To me this horn is the perfect weight! The darkness of each horn is affected by the plating you choose.
The MRC2 Trumpet is the only Top End horn that does not have a shepherd’s crook Bell. I made it a Heavy Weight Trumpet and added a reverse lead pipe. This makes this horn really fun to play. The force of the sound is amazing and the Valves are some of the best that I have ever seen. This is not as dark as my other horns but it has a wild upper end! This is a lead trumpeters dream horn. With the Heavy Weight and the bell shape, it is a “Sending Devise” for Hot trumpet sound! If you need to have your solo heard in the last row of the auditorium, this is the horn for you!
